Increase in domestic abuse calls from women living in Broxtowe
A charity which helps women dealing with domestic abuse has seen a rise in the number of calls it has received in the past year.
The Broxtowe Women's Project heard from 172 people in the past 12 months – an increase of 23 percent compared to the previous year.
The service, which launched in 2001, provides information and support to women living in the north of Broxtowe borough and Stapleford who are experiencing, or have experienced, domestic violence.
